May is National Foster Care Month, a time to recognize the children navigating one of life’s hardest journeys, and the caregivers, educators, and counselors who show up for them every single day.
Children in foster care carry experiences that most of us will never fully understand. What they need most from the adults in their lives is consistency, patience, and the unwavering message that they are worthy of love and belonging.
For educators and counselors, knowing which students may be in foster care and understanding the unique challenges they face can make an enormous difference in how supported those children feel at school.
This month and every month, we honor the children, the families, and the professionals committed to making sure no child feels invisible.
