The Fort Wayne and Wabash.Valley interurban line in Rockfield
Rockfield, Carroll County, circa 1908 - This real photo postcard documents buildings on the SE corner of Lake and Walnut Streets in Rockfield, a village located on Indiana 25 between Logansport and Delphi. The brick commercial building to the right was the I.O.O.F. Lodge No. 301, built in 1896 with two first-floor stores and an upstairs hall. It still stands. The church building has lost its spire, but is today occupied by the Rockfield Christian Church. A note on the back states that the Fort Wayne and Wabash Valley interurban tracks are in the foreground and the station was located in the brick store. Please share your memories of these buildings. What is in the old lodge building today?
