Can’t believe our 2025-2026 school year has begun! 😯 We celebrated our first day this week with so many new faces and smiles. Many kids were eager to jump into the tutor room for homework help and to complete their assignments 😉

URYC is not just a regular after school program for middle & high school students. We invest in the future of your youth and provide life changing opportunities through life skills, STEAM activities, social and emotional learning, mentoring, and so much more! We’re in the business of changing lives and building a stable foundation for our communities youth 💙

Borax Crystals ✨
URYC youth took their creativity to this STEAM activity as they learned how they can create crystals on pipe cleaners! Did you know after you add the Borax to the hot water and it cools, the water molecules move closer together, reducing their ability to hold the dissolved borax. The borax then starts to separate out of the solution, forming crystals that attach to any surface available, like a pipe cleaner or the sides of the container.
