A preview of “A Christian’s Identity pt. 4” from Romans 8.11. Understanding who we are in Christ is the Bible’s way of instructing us how to live obediently unto God.

Romans 8:11 (NASB)
11 But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you.

“Being “dead to sin” doesn’t mean you’re no longer tempted to sin. It means you are not under the reign of sin. That means, in our mortal bodies, sin will constantly seek an opportunity to make you disobey. Each battle with sin is won through renewing your thinking. That starts by learning what the Bible says a Christian is.” - PJC

Romans 8:9 (ESV)
9 You, however, are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if in fact the Spirit of God dwells in you. Anyone who does not have the Spirit of Christ does not belong to him.

“You might get criticized for being
boring because you are a
Christian.
You’re not boring; you’re just
satisfied and have a focus.
The peace you have ends the
desperate search for satisfaction
and significance.”
