Please join Helping One Woman Delano Chapter as we come together to support our October Honoree, Linda Reyna Alcantar.

A lifelong Delano resident, devoted mother, and public servant, Linda has spent years serving her community and encouraging others. In 2025, her life took an unexpected turn when she was diagnosed with breast cancer. Through treatment and surgery, Linda has continued to face her journey with incredible faith, gratitude, and hope.

Now it’s our turn to show up for her. Join us for an evening of community, encouragement, and support as we remind Linda that she does not walk this journey alone.

As we close out our September Helping One Woman dinner, our hearts are full.

A heartfelt thank you, to everyone who came out to support Silvia and her family. Whether you attended, volunteered, contributed, shared the event, or simply offered words of encouragement, you helped make the evening incredibly special.

There is something powerful about seeing a community come together simply to say, “You are not alone.”

Please join us as we honor our September HOW recipient, Silvia Espinoza Salas.

Silvia has called Delano home for nearly 50 years and has spent decades giving back to our community through her work and more than 30 years of service in children’s ministry.

Today, she is facing a difficult season as she has stepped away from work to remain by her husband Gabriel’s side while he battles serious health challenges.
Now it’s our turn to show up for her.

Join us for an evening of food, fellowship, and community as we surround Silvia with the love and support she has so freely given to others.

A heartfelt THANK YOU to everyone who came out to support Rosie Mendoza at our August Helping One Woman dinner.

Once again, our community showed what it means to come together for one of our own. Whether you attended, supported, volunteered, purchased raffle tickets, or simply helped spread the word, you played a part in making the evening so special.

Rosie was surrounded by so much love, encouragement, and support, and we are incredibly grateful to everyone who helped make that possible.

This is what HOW is all about, one woman, one night, one community coming together to make a difference.
