The numbers are in and Central Valley voters have spoken.

A new poll from our partners at Move The Valley surveyed 700+ registered voters across 8 counties, including Kern, and found:

🛑 82% want a PAUSE on new data center construction

🗳️ 90% say voters, not politicians, should have the final say
👀 45% have heard nothing about data centers coming to our region

Let that last one sink in. Two projects are already confirmed in Kern County and almost half of us haven’t even heard about them. That’s not an accident. That’s how these deals get done, quietly, before communities can respond.

This isn’t about being anti-technology. It’s about water. It’s about our electric bills. It’s about who gets to decide what happens in our own backyard.

Earlier this month Central Valley residents from Tulare COunty and Kern county came together to stop a Data Center from being built on Tulare county fair grounds. Our very own Anai Paniagua spoke out to local news about the concerns of the Data Centers.

We’ll also break down the real environmental impact of data centers, and open the call with “Bodies in Recovery,” a poem by a Delano youth.
