🎂 DELANO VOICE REVIEW: NOTHING BUNDT CAKES 🎂

We stopped by the Nothing Bundt Cakes soft opening today, met some of the staff, took a few pictures, and of course had to bring some cakes home for quality control. 😆

After trying a few flavors, both my son and I agreed on a solid 9 out of 10 rating. The cakes were moist, flavorful, and definitely lived up to the hype.

The team was incredibly friendly, and they even gave us some coupons to hand out to community members for their upcoming Grand Opening on July 11th.

🕘 Hours: 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM Daily

If you’ve been waiting to try them, now is your chance. Stop by, show them some love, support a new business in our community, and maybe loosen your belt a notch or two. 😂

Today we celebrate an incredible accomplishment as these dedicated young men and women successfully completed the Explorer Academy.

Through hard work, discipline, leadership, teamwork, and a commitment to serving others, they have taken an important step toward their future goals. Their determination and willingness to learn reflect the very best of our community.

We would also like to thank the officers, advisors, and mentors who invested their time and knowledge into helping guide these future leaders.

People ask me why I do so much for everybody else and why I always stay busy.

The truth is, I live with mental disabilities. If I sit still for too long, my mind starts to wander. I start overthinking. I get emotional. I break down. I cry.

I don’t have the easiest life. Like many families, we’ve faced our share of struggles. But I have a beautiful family that depends on me, and they are my motivation to keep moving forward every single day.

The community work, the events, the businesses, the posts, the fundraisers—it’s not just about helping others. It’s also part of what helps keep me going.

More than anything, I want my children to know that their daddy didn’t give up. I want them to know that when life got hard, I kept fighting. That when the world wasn’t always kind, I still chose kindness. That when people needed a voice, I did my best to be one.

I want them to know that their daddy fought for everyone he could, especially those who felt unseen, unheard, or forgotten.

I want them to see that there is still good in this world and that no matter how much pain, hardship, or negativity tries to tear you down, you keep going. You keep loving. You keep helping. You keep showing up.

Because one day, when I’m gone, I don’t want my children to remember what I had. I want them to remember who I was.

So I was sitting here looking at these concept designs for Delano Voice, and now I have a serious question…

If I hit the lottery, should I go full Captain Autism? 😂🧩💙

🦸‍♂️ Autism superhero cape?
🚗 Fully wrapped Delano Voice autism awareness vehicle?
🦦 Otter mascots?
🎉 Showing up to community events looking like I just walked out of a Marvel movie?

All jokes aside, the goal behind it would be to bring even more attention to autism awareness, special-needs families, and the mission we’ve built together as a community.

The rumors are true — Nothing Bundt Cakes is officially open for their soft opening today! 🎉

The new Delano location at 550 Woollomes Ave. is now welcoming customers and serving up their famous cakes, Bundtlets, and Bundtinis.

Judging by this display case, Delano may want to start loosening those belts now. 😆

I’m always on the hunt for a really good Chinese food spot, and it feels like we’re a little limited when it comes to Chinese food options here in Delano. I’ve heard this place mentioned a few times and the food certainly looks good. It has been serving the McFarland area for years and offers dine-in, takeout, catering, and party trays.
