EAA Chapter 635 We are a group of people who like all things aviation, We like flying, building, fixing, and talking airplanes.

We have a group of T-hangers at the Deland, FL airport, where we hold our Young Eagle Club youth RC plane build and our meeting room.

Good evening, everyone!

YE Club ✈️ We had a great time building balsa wood RC airplanes tonight. The youth made awesome progress, stayed super focused, hands-on learning at its best. Watching them build, learn, and explore aviation is always exciting.　

Our next YE Club is February 18th at 5:30 pm at the Chapter 635 hanger. We’d love to see you there!

The Young Eagles Club is a STEM program for middle and high school students. We’ve recently started a fun project—building a balsa wood RC airplane ✈️

Happy New Year everyone!!!! 🎉
Sorry for the late post about our January Young Eagles event.

Our first Young Eagles event of the new year was absolutely amazing - a perfect way to kick off 2026! ✨✨Thank you so much, as always, for your continued support of DeLand EAA Chapter 635. We truly couldn’t do this without our incredible volunteers, pilots, families, and kids.

Our next Young Eagles event will be on February 21st. We’re really looking forward to seeing you.

Good morning Chapter 635! A quick reminder that tonight we're having another meeting of our Young Eagles (YE) Club, 5-7pm, at the chapter hangar. YE Club is a STEM group we host for middle and high school-aged youth, and tonight we'll be starting construction of a balsa remote-control airplane kit. If you've got youth that are interested in aviation or you're a chapter member that would like to help we hope to see you then! We meet every-other Wednesday so there are more events if you've can't make this one.

December EAA DeLand Rally!
We enjoyed clear blue skies, beautiful aircraft, and many SMILING faces, truly the perfect trio. The kids got an early Christmas present: airplane rides!!! ✈️
