Our Florida KDED freinds EAA 635 directly across the taxiway will be having their first fall Young Eagles event (free introductory airplane rides) for kids 8-17 in September.

The mission of the Commemorative Air Force is to educate, inspire, and honor through flight and living history experiences. We know that we don't do this alone. Other organizations are also supporting the same noble mission. Our friends at the Michigan Flight Museum have recently added more video interviews to their Oral History collection, featuring Rosie the Riveters and military veterans sharing firsthand memories of how they served during World War II.

These personal accounts bring history to life in a way no textbook can. Hear directly from the men and women who worked on the home front, served in uniform, supported the war effort, and experienced this extraordinary chapter in history.

There are some wonderful and moving stories. Take a minute to listen and maybe do it with someone younger who may never have heard any of this.
