Pearl Update 🤍

She arrived with us on December 18, 2025.
This sweet girl is continuing to make progress here at HYHA. Every day she grows a little stronger and more confident.

We’re so proud of how far she’s come and grateful to everyone who supports our mission to give horses like Pearl a second chance.

Caring for Pearl takes consistent support each month:
• Grain: $209
• Hay: $196

Every single contribution helps this sweet girl continue to heal, thrive, and live her very best life.

If you’d like to support Pearl and horses like her, you can donate through AARC via the Cash App link below

From Rescue to Recovery — Mora’s Journey 🤍

On August 4th, Mora arrived at HYHA in need of help. Like many horses that come into rescue, she needed time, proper nutrition, and a safe place where she could finally begin to heal.

The first photo shows Mora when she first arrived.
The second shows the progress she’s made since being under our care.

While she still has a journey ahead, seeing her start to regain strength reminds us why rescue work is so important. Every horse deserves the chance to feel safe, cared for, and valued.

But transformations like Mora’s don’t happen overnight. They take months of feed, medical care, farrier visits, and daily attention.

If you would like to help us continue rescuing and rehabilitating horses like Mora, please consider donating to HYHA. Your support directly helps us provide the care these horses need to recover and thrive.

Even sharing this post helps us reach more people who believe in giving horses a second chance.

Thank you to everyone who continues to support HYHA and our mission. We truly couldn’t do this without you. 🤍🐴

A little February 6th throwback!

HYHA had the pleasure of attending the Iron Core Wellness Women’s Run, where we were able to connect with some amazing members of our community and share more about our mission to help horses in need.

We also want to give a big shout out to Iron Core Wellness for inviting HYHA for the third time to be part of their runs! Your continued support means so much to us and helps bring awareness to horse rescue in our community.

It was wonderful meeting everyone who stopped by to chat, learn about HYHA, and show their support.

Community support like this truly helps make what we do possible. 💛🐎

HYHA had the honor of attending the Laughlin Air Force Base Wing Annual Awards “Lone Star Legends” event.

While the evening was dedicated to celebrating their outstanding service members, we are incredibly grateful that Laughlin graciously allowed us to be present.

Their generosity included a donation to our cause, and the opportunity gave HYHA valuable exposure within our military community.

We truly appreciate the support and look forward to continued community partnerships. 🤍

In the Chinese zodiac, the Horse represents strength, freedom, endurance, and spirit.

At HYHA, every year is the year of the horse — because every single day we fight for their second chances.

This year, we commit to:
💛 Rescue

💛 Responsible placement
💛 Education

Thank you for standing with us and helping horses like Betty, Pearl, and Epona find safety and hope.

Betty came to us from auction underweight and in need of hoof care. Her long hooves have now been trimmed, and she’s started on a safe refeeding plan to help her gain weight slowly and properly.

Currently waiting on her coggins results to bring her to her new home.

She’s safe. She’s cared for. And she finally has a chance.

HYHA’s average monthly cost per horse is approximately $150 - $250 (feed, hay, farrier, supplements, and routine care). Rescue is a commitment — and we couldn’t do it without our village.

If you’d like to help support Betty’s recovery, donations are always appreciated.

Welcome home, sweet girl 🤍
