This event brings together the resources that so many returning citizens, families, and community members need but often never hear about job opportunities, training programs, educational pathways, and direct support services that open real doors.

If we want stronger families, safer neighborhoods, and a more empowered Broward, we have to make sure people know what’s available to them.

COMMUNITY RESOURCE ALERT: Support for Returning Citizens

At Women at the Well–Broward, we believe every woman deserves a clear path forward, free from confusion, barriers, and fear around her rights. That’s why we’re proud to share information about the Florida Rights Restoration Coalition (FRRC) and its powerful Fines & Fees Program and Advisory Opinion process.

If you or someone you know is a Returning Citizen seeking clarity about outstanding court-related financial obligations or wanting to understand your eligibility to register and vote, FRRC is here to help.

FRRC Can Assist With:
- Questions about fines, fees, or restitution
- Options to reduce or remove financial barriers
- Legal support through volunteer attorneys
- Guidance on completing community service (if applicable)
- Determining whether your sentence is fully completed
- Requesting an official Advisory Opinion from the State of Florida

These services are designed to help Returning Citizens move forward with confidence and reclaim their voice in the community.

Serving With Love During This Unprecedented Cold

Today, Friday 2/6, the Women at the Well–Broward team is on the ground in Deerfield, Pompano, and Fort Lauderdale, making sure our unhoused neighbors feel seen, supported, and warm.

We are distributing our “Given in Love Hoodies” a reminder that even in the coldest moments, compassion can still reach people where they are.

A heartfelt thank you to for donating their print services and helping us extend this act of love even further. Your generosity makes impact possible.

💙🎄 Holiday Service in Action — Spreading Joy Where It’s Needed Most 🎄💙

The Rotary Club of Fort Lauderdale Cypress Creek is proud to collaborate with Women At The Well on a heartfelt holiday service project supporting children and families impacted by maternal incarceration.

Through this initiative, we’ll be sharing toys and meals to help bring warmth, comfort, and hope to children during the holiday season—reminding them they are seen, valued, and cared for.

Each year our Annual Turkey and Toy Giveaway at Johnny Tigner Community Center serves 300+ families, many children are being raised by grandparents or caregivers while their mothers are incarcerated. We provide a holiday toys, and 2–3 weeks of groceries to restore dignity and ease financial strain during the out of school Holiday Break.

We urgently need partners to host collection boxes or make financial gifts.
