K4C awards grants to youth-led service projects, recognizes unsung heroes & supports kids w/cancer. Tragically, Cara passed away in December 2012.

Karma for Cara Foundation was founded by 21-year-old Cara Becker and her family while she was being treated for leukemia in October of 2012. A champion of community service early in her brief life, Cara saw a tremendous need to support other patients who were going through the same challenging treatment as she was. But her dream lives on through the vision and works of the foundation. Her family &

friends remain inspired by Cara's example of service and interest in helping others, even when she herself was in need of help.

Happy 🌊

Founder of Students for Coral Preservation & K4C microgrant recipient Andrei (17, FL) + his team used his award to grow coral fragments into full-sized coral🪸 followed by a student dive outplanting them into the ocean.

Through SCP's internships & expert partners, cohorts of interested students learn about the ocean’s complexity, climate change’s causes and impacts, and how to ensure the coral in the Coral Lab can be successfully transplanted into the oceans.🌊
