When we know our exalted position—seated in heavenly places in Christ—we will identify more with the Christ who walked out of the tomb than with the Christ who died on the Cross!

Jesus believes in us! Why would He sit resting in faith, expecting His enemies to be made His footstool, unless He knew we could do it? And since Jesus believes in us, we should believe in ourselves. We should not be nervous, worried, or doubtful of His willingness to give us all He has provided!

Jesus does not pace back and forth in front of the throne wondering if He did enough. He doesn’t worry about whether we will complete His mission. We read in the book of Hebrews that we are called to enter into the rest of faith, expecting those things which we speak to come to pass.

Christianity acknowledges and enters into a new reality. We accept that healing in us is real. We accept that abundance exists in us. We accept that the life we see now is temporary, and then call those things which be not as though they are (Romans 4:7). The first step in this new reality is to acknowledge the kingdom of God in you, and His desire to see His kingdom established around you!

Our words can be productive or destructive. We have an opportunity to have powerful results, but it will take awareness of all that has been done for you, along with thankfulness. Paul gives us this insight when he pens that our words work when they reflect the good things that God has done in our lives: “I pray that the sharing of your faith may become effective and powerful because of your accurate knowledge of every good thing which is ours in Christ” (Philemon 1:6 AMP).

Many look for a prophet to speak words of life and blessing over their lives, but YOU are your own greatest prophet! What you say about yourself is more important than what anybody else says about you. Even God cannot override what you say about yourself.

In a world of many pleasures that lead to vices, it is good to know there is a key to freedom from addictions. A consistent thanks to God acknowledging what He has said about your freedom in Christ, even in the middle of doing your addiction, will bring God onto the scene because He is in His Word. Give constant thanks that His Word declares you free. Jesus is responding to what you say. He said you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free!

When our senses and our knowledge do not bring us comfort, we can still have joy, knowing that God’s Words about our lives are greater than our negative feelings. How do we enforce the authority of His Word over our lives? By speaking out those words! This Word connection gives our voice an authority that every devil and circumstance must yield to!

The Apostle Paul made it clear when he said that we do not receive what God sows, or what others sow — we only receive what we sow, or say, about ourselves. What scripture says is still true: “Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof” (Proverbs 18:21). Your future is as far away as your tongue!

The Apostle Paul gave us some things to think about. He said, “Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things” (Phil. 4:8). Just before that, he tells the Philippian church (and us), “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” In other words, do not let your mind go into the gutter of worry, fear, or anxiety about what might happen in the unknown future! Instead, train your mind to think on what God says to think about and experience His peace!
