This weekend, Annapolis Area Little League was fortunate to welcome back one of our own - Steven Ridings - for a pitching clinic with our players.
A former SMLL (now AALL) player, Steven went on to become a 1st Team All-Big East pitcher and professional baseball player from 2017–2022. After being selected in the 2016 MLB Draft by the Seattle Mariners organization, he spent seven years in professional baseball, advancing all the way to Triple-A Tacoma.
Today, Steven continues to coach at the collegiate level, but still makes time to return to the ballfields where it all began.
Little League is where the foundational love of the game starts. Community, friendships, and real player development begin here - and seeing former players give back in this way is what makes this experience so special.
We cannot thank Steven enough for his time, energy, and willingness to pour into the next generation of players. We look forward to seeing our athletes showcase the skills they learned throughout the rest of the season! ⚾️
