It is operated by the Elks Association of Maryland , Delaware and the District of Columbia . Campers are sponsored by local Elks Lodges and a portion of the cost of camp is covered by th

They do not have to be needy, but should be worthy and deserving or one who would not otherwise have such an opportunity for a camping experience. IMPORTANT INFORMATION...
Happy Wednesday to All our Week 2 camp parents and families.

Just to clarify, On Thursday July 23rd camper pick up time runs from 1pm through 5pm. Those folks who come from the shore and west will need to have flexible pick up times, as any more traffic is as bad on Thursday as it is on Fridays.

Its been a fun enjoyable week so far and a lot of camp joy has been happening here at ECB. Be safe in your travels. We will be here ready to greet you with big Camp Barrett smiles!

Good Morning All,

Everything went well last evening with the storm. Both bands were mild with little wind. Electricity stayed on and no trees down!
Campers went to bed a little late while the camp staff kept them busy in the Mess Hall with games, popcorn, and a movie.
Now, everyone send up a prayer of gratitude please. We don't do this alone.... Also, everyone got to sleep in today! Love those small joys!

Attention all ECB Week 2 camper families. We are expecting some severe weather over the next few days. A few parents have contacted us concerned about our storm safety plan. First, I assure everyone, the camp staff have the safety of our campers always in mind. We have weathered some tough storms before.
Prior to a storms arrival we move all the campers and staff to the main building. It is the sturdiest of all the buildings with block walls.
In the past many trees have fallen on the lines along the roadways and we've lost power sometimes for many days. If this becomes the case, you will be notified to pick up your child when safe to do so, as by law we can not house anyone if we don't have water and flushing toilets. Hopefully things will be quick and damage less. As always, we will take good care of our campers. Please call me if you have any questions.

ATTENTION WEEK TWO CAMPERS!
We are expecting a significant improvement in the Air Quality Index for next week, starting on Sunday, with favorable conditions continuing throughout the week. Temperatures will continue to run high so pack accordingly. Elks Camp Barrett Week Two Summer Camp will happen.

We will see everyone tomorrow. Bring your best EC. Bee Smiles with you. šŸ
