One of our favorite parts of the week at 210 is Wonderful Wednesday.
Every Wednesday, we stop working for a little while, gather together, and worship. And over this first year, some really wonderful people have given their time to come lead us.

Today we’re celebrating Matt Glass, who faithfully shows up one Wednesday every month, and never forgets to bring the fun.
Matt knows that worship at 210 may involve a few more hand motions, a little more movement, and quite possibly some enthusiastic audience participation. 😄 He jumps right in and ensures that we lean in to every opportunity for joy to abound.

Matt represents a whole group of worship leaders who have helped make Wednesdays such a special part of our community.

To Matt and every person who has come to sing, play, lead, and worship alongside our Citizens this year: thank you for showing up and sharing your gifts with us.

6 days until our FIRST BIRTHDAY!
If you spend much time at 210, you learn pretty quickly that our volunteers aren’t just extra hands. They are part of the community.

Today we’re celebrating Stephanie Barrington and Jen Seferyn…better known around here as Skittles and Jelly Bean. 😊

When they come around the corner, there is a very good chance they’ll be greeted with a giant hug from one of our Citizens. They show up faithfully, jump in wherever they are needed, and genuinely know and care about the people they serve.

Stephanie and Jen are two of MANY volunteers we could have highlighted. Truly, choosing anyone for this post was hard because we have so many people who faithfully give their time and love our Citizens so well.

Skittles and Jelly Bean are representing all of YOU!

To every 210 volunteer who has shown up, learned a new job station, shared lunch, encouraged a Citizen, packed products, danced at worship, or simply been a good friend: thank you. We could not do this without you.

For the next 7 days, we’ll be counting down by celebrating the people who made this first year possible: our families, volunteers, worship leaders, community partners, donors, and, most of all, our incredible Citizens.

This first year has been full of purpose, friendship, belonging, and so many moments worth remembering.

We are inching our way closer and closer to our ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY! Can you believe it?!?! As we count down to our very first birthday (September 8th), we’re sharing stories in honor of ALL of our 210 families.

When we opened 210 a year ago, our first families were taking a pretty big chance on us.

There was no long track record. No impact report. No year of photos and stories to show them. Just an idea, a mission, a lot of prayer, and a belief that adults with disabilities deserved meaningful work and a community where they could belong.

Those families trusted us with people they love deeply, and we will never take that lightly.

Zach’s mom recently shared what 210 has meant for their family and what it has been like to watch Zach find meaningful work, friendships, and a place where he can be successful.

Thank you for trusting us, encouraging us, giving us feedback, cheering us on, and letting us love your people.
