Big things are taking root for New Roots McIntosh!

Recently, Heather Woodard, Kate Karwacki, Wendy Dauphinee and Tracy Sanford sat down with Keeva Kase, CEO of the Communities of Coastal Georgia Foundation, to talk about the future of New Roots McIntosh — and how our community can be part of it.

With a BIG assist from a longtime community supporter, whose love for McIntosh County runs deep, we are working to establish a way for individuals, businesses and organizations to financially support New Roots McIntosh’s targeted needs. So consider this your heads-up… details on how YOU can help are coming very soon!

New Roots McIntosh is our local Recovery Community Organization — a safe, welcoming place for people in recovery, seeking recovery, or supporting someone they love. Recovery Community Organizations provide non-clinical, peer-based support and embrace multiple pathways to recovery.

New Roots provides connection, encouragement, recovery support and resources — and most importantly, a place where people know they don’t have to walk this journey alone.

And it is already making a difference right here in McIntosh County. Imagine what is possible as it grows.

We know something about McIntosh County: when our community believes in something, we show up. With the support of this community behind New Roots McIntosh, the potential IMPACT is truly endless.

A very special thank-you to Kate Karwacki for sharing her knowledge, experience and support to help us move this mission forward. Having people willing to lend what they know, make connections and help figure out the next steps is exactly how good things grow.
