Today marks two years since the End of Watch of Investigator Taylor Jaimeson Bristow, a devoted husband, son, friend, investigator, and hero whose courage and sacrifice will never be forgotten.

On August 20, 2024, Investigator Bristow was assisting the Georgia Bureau of Investigation with the ex*****on of a search warrant when he was shot in the line of duty. The investigation involved some of our most vulnerable victims, innocent children who needed someone willing to stand between them and those who sought to harm them. He answered that call with courage, compassion, and an unwavering commitment to justice.

Investigator Bristow fought courageously for three days before passing away on August 23, 2024, at only 30 years old. He made the ultimate sacrifice while carrying out the mission to which he had dedicated his life: protecting others, seeking justice for victims, and making our community safer.

Two years later, the pain of his loss remains deeply felt throughout our Sheriff’s Office and beyond. We remember his humor, kindness, dedication, and the way he cared so deeply for his family, fellow law enforcement officers, and the people he was sworn to protect.

Investigator Bristow’s wife, Lyssa, remains a cherished part of our Sheriff’s Office family. Her strength and grace continue to inspire us, and we remain committed to surrounding her and their family with love and support.

Today, we honor Investigator Bristow’s life, his service, and the ultimate sacrifice he made while protecting innocent children and serving his community.

Time may continue to pass, but his name, sacrifice, and the difference he made will never fade.

Never forgotten. Always our brother. 💙

Let's face it - it's way too hot to cook - let our hardworking volunteers grill you a delicious Rib Eye Steak or bake you some wonderful Italian Chicken - THIS SATURDAY!!! We will also have baked potatoes, a salad bar with fixings, rolls and cupcakes - all until we run out. Donations per person are $25.00 for Steak and $18 for Chicken. We start serving at 6:00 PM until we run out. Also, with no cover charge, we will have live music! Echos of Vinyl will be performing starting at 7:00 PM. Proceeds go to our Event Committee who sponsor all our veteran and community events. Hope to see you, Saturday, August 22nd at 2587 Scoggins Road, Dallas, GA 30157!
