We are still hiring Temporary, Short Term (W2) Community Outreach Door to Door Canvassers in Columbus, Douglasville, Dallas, Hiram, Villa Rica, and Rockmart to work October 22-November 3rd. Must be 18+.

We are seeking dependable, engaging and civically excited people to support and engage voters in a NON-PARTISAN manner from October 22nd-November 3rd. No experience is necessary, no background check is required and flexible shifts are available. YOU MUST ATTEND THE MANDATORY TRAINING ON 10/22/26 at 6pm. Columbus' training is in person at Jar Fly (13th St) & W. GA's training will be virtual on zoom.

The deadline to apply is 10/22/26 at 2pm. (Training is that night from 6p-8p)

Saturday, October 24, 2026 is National Early Voting Day and we are doing our part to ensure that voters do not miss their opportunity to have their civic voices heard by making sure Columbus and West GA voters in Dallas, Hiram, Douglasville, Rockmart and Villa Rica get to the polls on Saturday, October 24th! This year we are focused on supporting early voting activities in Coumbus, GA as this prevents voters from standing in long lines on election day, especially our elders and people with disabilities. To support access to early voting for those with a lack of transportation, we will FREE provide transportation from 7am-7pm to EARLY voting poll locations in their county. (the only counties that have polls open until 7pm are Paulding & Muscogee Counties)

Unlike election day (where you must vote only at the assigned location listed on your precinct card), you do not have to vote at an assigned polling location during early voting. You can vote at any early voting location within your county. If you choose to vote early you cannot cast another ballot at your precinct on Election Day, November 3rd. The last day to vote early is the Friday before Election Day, October 30th.

Unfortunately, due to the van not having a wheelchair lift, we are unable to provide rides to the polls for indivividuals in wheelchairs. However, there are several organizations giving free, roundtrip rides to the polls for voters in wheelchairs:

Applications re-opened- Virtual and Paid cohort for BIPOC women & girls in GA. Apply by Oct. 21st at 5pm. Interviewing Oct. 23rd from 11a-4pm. Limited to 10.

Applications are re-opened for our Sister Rise Leadership Academy—an intensive 7-week, virtual, trauma-informed cohort designed to support justice-involved Black and BIPOC women and girls through wellness, leadership development, life skills, economic empowerment, and entrepreneurship.

If you previously applied, no need to re-apply. Final notifications will be sent on October 22nd.

Funded via a grant received from the National Black Women's Justice Institute's Sisters in Solidarity Reentry Network, Sister Rise Leadership Academy will meet twice weekly to support justice-involved Black and BIPOC women and girls affected by foster care, exclusionary school discipline, dating or domestic violence, and/or mental or developmental disabilities. Through trauma-informed therapy, life skills training, and leadership development, participants build the foundation for safety, healing, and lasting independence.

Who's Eligible? (SPACE IS LIMITED TO 10): Black women and girls age 15 and older who reside in Georgia and have been impacted by the criminal legal system or experiences that may lead to system involvement (arrest, conviction, youth detention, incarceration, probation, or mandated community service) such as foster care, punitive, exclusionary school discipline policies, behavioral issues, dating/domestic violence, stalking, sexual assault or harassment, and/or mental illness or developmental disabilities.

Program Highlights & Benefits Include:

- Trauma-informed wellness and behavioral coaching
- Leadership and personal development
- Financial literacy and job readiness
- Entrepreneurship support
- A supportive foundation to establish and strengthen safety, healing, and lasting independence.
- $200 cash

Today is the last day to register to vote and yes you can vote in GA with a felony (as long as you are not on paper, are locked up for a felony or for violating felony probation or have not had your 1st offender status or unconditional discharge revoked) and yes even if you still owe fines, fees and restitution! STOP TELLING GEORGIANS WITH A FELONY THEY CANNOT VOTE! THEY CAN (if certain conditions are met) & STOP MAKING US JUMP THROUGH HOOPS TO PROVE IT!

Georgians with a criminal record, particularly a felony, CAN vote in Georgia as long as they are no longer on probation or parole (even if they owe restitution, fines and fees). Also, incarcerated Georgians who are serving time for a MISDEMEANOR and are not locked up for violating felony probation CAN vote too (via absentee ballot).

Georgias who were sentenced under the 1st offender act and have not had it or a conditional discharge revoked or who have been pardoned can also vote!

Although it is NOT needed to vote, if you are no longer on probation or parole in Georgiam you can request to have a certificate of completion emailed to you by calling the DCS Call Center at 678-783-4337 or request to pick one up at a local probation office. Because the The last day to register to vote is Monday, Oct. 5th, please register online at GA's My Voter Page or go to your local elections office on Monday, the 5th, to register in person!
