Happy Friday from me, Meeka! 💕🐶🐾

Guys, I have the BEST news! I got to go on my very first Doggie Day Out (DDO) last week, and let me tell you, it was AMAZING!

I got to leave the shelter and see things I’d never get to experience from my kennel. I met so many wonderful people, got to explore, and even tried something called a pup cup. And OH. MY. DOG. It was basically frozen heaven! 🍦💕

Adventures like this are so special for us shelter pups. We get a break from the shelter, experience new things, and show off our personalities to people who might not otherwise get to meet us.

So, if you’ve ever thought about becoming a DDO at TLC, this is your sign! Take a shelter dog out for a few hours, make some memories, and give them an adventure they’ll never forget.

And if you don’t have time for a DDO, that’s okay! You can always sign up to walk dogs on the property whenever it works for you. We LOVE our walks, too!

I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend! And remember, every adventure, big or small, means the world to a shelter dog.

Love,
Meeka 🐶

Meet Chewie! 💕🐶🐾

Yorkie lovers, STOP SCROLLING!

Chewie is a purebred Yorkshire Terrier with papers, and a little guy this special doesn’t come through our rescue every day.

Under a year old, Chewie is smart, playful, curious, affectionate, and packed with that classic BIG Yorkie personality. He’s confident, entertaining, and absolutely convinced he’s much bigger than he actually is.

Like any young Yorkie, he’s still learning, and potty training will take some patience, consistency, and commitment. But trust us, he’s worth it!

Chewie is looking for someone who will appreciate his spunky personality, keep his busy little brain engaged, and give him all the love and guidance he needs to grow into an amazing companion.

Tiny dog. HUGE personality.

If you’ve been waiting for your Yorkie, this may be your boy, but don’t wait too long. We don’t expect Chewie to be available for long!

Chewie's adoption fee is $500. This includes his neuter, microchip, Rabies vaccine, DAPP vaccines, Bordetella vaccine, heartworm test (if over 9 months old), and he is up to date on flea, tick, and heartworm prevention.

If you are interested in adopting Chewie, you may fill out an application at www. tlchs.org or you are welcome to make a Match Making appointment to come out and meet him first. We are open Tuesday – Sunday 1:00pm to 4:00pm.
