This week, Alisa gave us a beautiful analogy: Genesis 4 & 5 are like a solar eclipse. The world around us grows dark, and we can’t see the sun (God), but He is still very much present with us. 🌑☀️
I thought that was such a powerful picture as we dove into the first murder recorded in Scripture and saw just how dark the world had become since the Fall in Genesis 3.
Alisa also reminded us through Scripture that when it comes to temptation, we are called to watch and pray (Mark 14:38) and run from it (1 Corinthians 10:14).
One question really struck me: How closely am I walking with Christ? The intimacy of our relationship with God affects how we respond when temptation comes. Am I nurturing my relationship with Him often enough to recognize when the deceiver is trying to lead me astray and see the path out that God promises in 1 Corinthians 10:13?
What a powerful teaching this week! 💭 What stood out to you the most? Share what God has been putting on your heart! 🤍📖
