OCYL: The Mayor's Office of Children, Youth and Learning Enriching out of school-time K-12 programs & preschool classes for children & youth. For program details and fees, please see the website.

OCYL offers classes in Art, Literacy, Math, Music, Science & STEAM for preschool children; STEAMshop classes and workshops for school age youth and Career/College programs for teens, a wellness program, a leadership academy and Youth Commission for teens. Cumberland children who qualify for free/reduced lunch for the current school year receive 90% financial aid (unless otherwise noted: FA does n

ot cover Private Lessons or materials fees). All of our programs are run through grants, donations and program fees. If you would like to make a donation in support of OCYL's efforts, please contact us.

🌟 Teen Mentorship for Leadership & Communication Skills Academy (Grades 10-12)
Be a “peer mentor” for middle school students during Leadership & Communication Skills Academy! Mentors will help lead small group discussions, participate in fun activities, assist teachers during class, and help with setup and cleanup. A great opportunity to build leadership experience and community connections!

🗣 Leadership & Communication Skills Academy (Grades 6-9)
Students will play cooperative games and participate in outdoor challenges while learning practical leadership and communication skills. Small groups will focus on teamwork, interpersonal relationships, and building confidence with our engaging teachers.
