While camping at Wheeler gorge this past weekend the Scouts from Troop 108 truly embodied the motto, “do a good turn daily.” Upon discovering a nearby stream crossing eroded, the Scouts didn’t hesitate to lend a helping hand. They worked together to repair the damage path making it safer for hikers and cars alike. The camp ranger was very thankful. Way to go scouts for having a positive impact in your community!!!!!

Another 108 Eagle Project Completed! Jasper Bos renovated the Butterfly Garden at Culver City Middle School. Three full days of labor and a Dumpster of weeds. The students and teachers will appreciate being able to enjoy this outdoor space again.

Hello Everyone!

Current Life Scout, Sebastian Teves has partnered with The Book Truck to help support teen literacy. As stated in their Mission Statement, "Literacy Leads to Brighter Futures. Everyone Deserves That Opportunity. Through our innovative programming, The Book Truck gets teens who have never picked up a book to start reading. Every year, we give thousands of free books to foster care, homeless, and low-income teens throughout Los Angeles County."

In this post, we have attached a flyer that specifies what kind of books we want to collect. Books can be dropped off at Grace Lutheran Church on Thursday May 29th, from 6-9pm. (limited pickup requests can also be facilitated)

If you don’t have any books to donate, The Book Truck also has an Amazon Wishlist of the most popular books they give out. If you choose to buy books this way, please make sure to put “Sebastian’s Eagle Project” in the gift notes.
