Support the Nomination of Yasmine-Imani McMorrin for Mayor!

Please consider signing up to speak tonight (virtual or in-person) on Action Item 4 to nominate Yasmine-Imani McMorrin as Mayor. Yasmine is the current Vice Mayor and should be next in line to serve as Mayor. She would be the City’s sixth female Mayor and first Black female Mayor. This should be a historic night, but there is some opposition brewing to her becoming Mayor so your support is much needed. Let the Council know tonight that you stand with Yasmine for Mayor! Justice for Guillermo Medina

On December 18, 2022, Guillermo Medina, a loving husband and father of three, was shot in the back and killed by Culver City Police during a mental health crisis. Last May, the family held a memorial service where this incident took place.

Guillermo Medina was suffering a mental health crisis and shot while running from CCPD. Yesterday the community came out to support his family on . While we can't replace what CCPD has taken. we continue to push for justice and change.
