🐾 What She Needs
Buttercup needs a home that understands she is a whole experience, not just a pet.
She would thrive with someone who sees her confidence not as something to manage, but something to appreciate.
She does need a home without cats, chickens, or small livestock — not out of malice, but instinct. Buttercup has opinions about the world, and she prefers her environment to be one where she can relax without confusion or temptation.
More than anything, she needs a person who wants a best friend.
Someone she can bond with deeply. Someone who will include her in life instead of just placing her in it. Someone who understands that her loyalty, once earned, is absolute.
Buttercup isn’t looking for a home that simply has space for her.
She’s looking for a life where she is part of it.
Buttercup is still here — steady, shining, and ready for her next chapter.
She continues to be one of those dogs who holds a space in the rescue that feels bigger than her physical presence. She’s the one younger dogs watch. The one volunteers remember. The one who makes people pause and say, “She’s something special.”
And she is.
She has been waiting long enough to be overlooked, but never long enough to lose who she is.
Buttercup is still Buttercup — confident, grounded, and ready.
Ready for her role to finally become her reality.
