Swingin' D Horse Rescue saves at-risk horses from the slaughter pipeline, nurses them to health and prepares them for Happily Ever After with responsible adopters. We bail horses in the slaughter pipeline or in danger of entering the slaughter pipeline, nurse them to health and match them with owners who will cherish them and make them feel useful. er - SDHR is all about making dreams come true. We invest a minimum of $1,200 in each horse we rescue - regardless of the bail amount. Our horses are available for an adoption fee, which partially reimburses us and allows us to rescue more horses. We price them so they won't be flipped or resold for slaughter. We'll provide a receipt for your tax-deductible donation upon request. We are a 501(c)3 private foundation and an Oklahoma non-profit corporation.

Senior Black Lab Needs Loving Home
We are looking for a peaceful retirement home for Bo, a sweet black 15-year-old Labrador currently in Temple, TX (76501). Bo recently lost his owner and is currently with an ex family member until placement can be found. Due to his late owner’s own health challenges, Bo has not had regular vet care in recent years. Bo lived with his owner since he was a puppy, so 15 years- he needs a miracle.
He is completely deaf, has possible hip dysplasia, is not neutered, and is not microchipped. He needs a patient, quiet environment—ideally with no stairs—to spend his golden years comfortably.
