This hits home for so many of our neighbors and friends right here in Coventry.

Not everyone takes the same path in life. Some attend technical schools, learn a trade, start a business, and build their careers working with their hands.

These are the hardworking people who keep our cars running, our lights on, our homes maintained, and our local businesses operating.

Will Gifford is proud of his technical education and small-business experience. His opponent Francis Lombard recent posts raise a troubling question: Since when did working with your hands become a political weakness?

A college degree isn't the only measure of intelligence, ability, or leadership.

Our community deserves respect for every kind of honest work.

Earlier this year, Coventry residents filled the high school to vote on the town’s fi****ms ordinance—
a right provided through the current Town Charter.

The proposed Charter revisions could affect how residents bring issues forward and vote at future Town Meetings, including disputes over local ordinances.

Understand how these changes could affect your ability to participate directly in town government.

Early Voting: Oct. 19 – Nov. 1
Election Day: Nov. 3


The proposed amendments to the Charter will appear on the ballot for the November 3, 2026 election as the following two questions:
- Shall Sections 9-3(a) and 9-3(e), which are proposed to be renumbered as 7-3(a) and 7-3(d), be amended to adjust the threshold at which authorizations for appropriations, bonds or notes must be approved at a town meeting and/or referendum from a fixed dollar amount to a percentage of the current tax levy?
- Shall additional provisions of the Coventry Town Charter be amended other than as provided in question #1 above, all as recommended in the final report of the Charter Revision Commission dated July 29, 2026, and as on file with the Coventry Town Clerk?

The BIG signs are going up everywhere in Coventry !

Will Gifford has spent months communicating his policies and plans to voters. Meanwhile, Lombard has been focused on building a website to repost videos that are already freely available on another public platform.

If taxpayer funds or campaign donations are being used to fuel what can only be described as “Will Derangement Syndrome” (WDS), the public deserves answers.

This raises a serious question about Lombard’s priorities.
