enriches Northeastern Connecticut by providing rowing opportunities for individuals. It is the only community rowing program in Northeastern Connecticut. CLCR promotes diversity in the sport of rowing through programs which introduce avenues for athletic development and personal growth for both youth and adults. CLCR’s programs introduce new rowers to the sport, offer training for competitive rowers, and support the under-represented within rowing.

This weekend PVRC hosted our annual scrimmage, Memorial Day Invitational. We were so happy to be able to welcome Northampton Community Rowing, Holyoke Rows, Coventry Lake Community Rowing Inc., and community rowing to our Rockrimmon boathouse.

Thanks to all the teams and participants for coming and thanks to the many volunteers who helped make this event a success. We ❤️ rowing !

We left PVRC - Pioneer Valley Riverfront Club today taking home two 2’s, several 3rds, a couple 4’s noting that even our couple “worst” races weren’t too off the mark even with some seriously mixed-aged/experienced boats. We even had one of our adults come out and compete! We will add some more photos as we gather them from our super parents! Next race- Emerson’s in Middletown. We’d like to thank PVRC, Holyoke Rows, Northampton Crew, Westford Community Rowing for challenging us and being fun competitors!

Adult group sessions forming now. Next week’s session on Tuesday night at 6:40 (right after middle school learn to row). No experience necessary. Times/days may be adjusted and added in June. Sign up requested (but not mandatory) by emailing [email protected]. Free for May! Open to everyone 18 and over. Privates and semi privates available by appointment ($30/person for 1 hour session).
