New tables, chairs, and beds are on their way — and we truly cannot wait to visit the kindergarten soon and show you the final result. 🥹

Last week in Chicago, the Charity for Balkan Children was invited to present our work at the workshop by Milica—and one message stood above everything:

The work we do on ourselves as adults can completely change the lives of children.

Through our work with children in institutions across the Balkans, we see it every day—
many of these children are not without parents…
but they carry the pain of broken promises, absence, and repeated disappointment.

This workshop was a powerful reminder:
our reactions are often learned survival patterns—not conscious choices.
And awareness is where change begins.

At the Charity for Balkan Children, our mission is not only to support children materially—
it is to break cycles.

Because if even one parent becomes more aware…
if one adult heals instead of passing pain forward…

then maybe one day fewer children will grow up in institutions.

Our 2nd Bake Sale at Little Legends was truly a sweet success! 🍰✨

What a beautiful day filled with Balkan desserts, community love, smiling families, and one shared mission: creating a better space for the children in Berane.

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who came out, baked, donated, volunteered, bought raffle tickets, and supported this event with such a big heart.

Each pin on this map represents a community, school, kindergarten, orphanage, or family we have been able to support through humanitarian aid delivered by Charity for Balkan Children. From school furniture and beds to clothing, educational materials, and family support, every location tells the story of children who were reached because people chose to care.
