Happy birthday to these Little Warriors!

Thanks to the support of the Wayne Community Foundation, we were able to purchase a book vending machine that will allow every PK-6th grade student to choose a new book for their birthday (or half-birthday if their birthday falls outside the school year).

We’ll also use the machine to give books to students recognized at our monthly CKH assemblies.

Happy birthday, kids! And a big thank you to the Wayne Community Foundation for supporting our literacy initiative! And thank you to Mrs. Shelly Hornaday for keeping the vending machine stocked with great books!

If anyone in the community would like to donate funds or gift cards to help purchase books for the vending machine, we’d love the support!
