In 1874, less than ten years out of slavery, Henry Brevard bought 90 acres of Lincoln County land in his own name.

That land became Brevard's Chapel. And for 150 years, almost no one knew his story.

Saturday, June 13th, genealogist Andre' Kearns answers the question HEARTS has been chasing since we saved the chapel: Who was Henry Brevard? An enslaved ironworker who became a free blacksmith and a landowner β€” and changed a community in the process.

Plus live Sacred Steel from DaShawn Hickman (yes, the one who toured with Cirque du Soleil), a new visual art exhibit, and more.
