Honoring the Legacy of Betty Fretz
OPSIS is proud to support the "Betty Fretz Fund", created by Vision Therapy Canada (VTC) to honor the legacy of Betty Fretz—an inspiring clinician who built a thriving VT practice after battling back from severe illness, and who was known for going above and beyond for every patient in her care.
Each year at the VTC annual meeting, a silent auction raises funds to help patients in need access vision therapy. Last year, OPSIS donated a seat in a future course.
Dr. Kristel Jefferies bid $3,500, with all proceeds going to the fund, and now has a reserved seat in an upcoming OPSIS course.
Dr. Jefferies shared: “In neuro-optometry, there are always opportunities to grow our knowledge and understanding of the visual system and the practical integration of this knowledge into clinical practice. Paul, Caroline, and Rob offer a sophisticated, integrated framework that challenges even the most seasoned practitioner to look and understand at a deeper level… the insights shared by these three pioneers are transformative for both the practitioner and the practice.”
