Today’s our special friends Birthday! We celebrated a day early, and they wanted to say a special Thank You to everyone for the gifts or cards(not everything is shown bc we went ahead and put their name on items) but we truly appreciate the gifts and kindness you all have shown for our friend.

Today, Knox County Senior Center Director Shawn, our Site Manager Tarrah, and I (Amber Case-Director) were honored to be invited to an event in Knox County with Senator Robert Stivers and State Representative Tom O’Dell Smith to speak about the important issue of funding for meals.

We are grateful for the opportunity to have our voices heard and to share how important these meals and services are to the seniors and communities we serve. We are all working together, and we truly appreciate the support of our leaders as we continue to advocate and fight for our community.

When we work together, we can make a difference! Thank you for listening, supporting, and standing with us as we continue to fight for the needs of our seniors and our community.

Hi Friends,
We have a client that is need of a few very important items. A light up doorbell, and a caption phone. We are working to see what the KCDHH can do but if anyone has one they are willing to donate it would be greatly appreciated. Please contact the center 606-528-0100 or PM us on here!
Thank you!

Kentucky households can apply for LIHEAP Summer Subsidy from August 3 - September 11, 2026, to help offset cooling costs with a one-time electric benefit. Applications will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis, or until funds are depleted.

Interested households should contact their local Community Action Agency, based on county of residence, to determine eligibility and complete the application process. To locate the office serving your county, visit www.capky.org/network or call 800-456-3452.

Households must meet eligibility requirements, including household income of up to and including 150 percent of the Federal Poverty Guidelines to qualify for assistance. Benefits are paid directly to the household’s electric vendor.

No disconnect notice, past-due bill, or eviction notice is required to apply. Assistance received during previous LIHEAP components does not affect eligibility.
