The latest impact report from the Volunteer Mentorship Initiative is live — and it updates every month.

Everyday Tennesseans are mentoring men and women as they return home after incarceration. VMI is now in all 14 state prisons, and the dashboard shows where things stand: how many mentors are serving, how many matches are made, and where more help is needed.

See the numbers, then see where you fit.

We are excited to share that nine more women have completed our program at the Putnam County Justice Center! ⛓️‍💥✝️

By reaching women at an earlier intercept point, we are able to help them build prosocial behaviors, develop healthy support networks, and establish meaningful connections before release. Research consistently shows that these relationships greatly increase the likelihood that individuals will seek services and support after returning to the community.

Most importantly, we share the truth that Jesus Christ offers more than recovery. He offers freedom, restoration, and a completely new life.

We want to once again extend a special thank you to Kristy Jones, our carceral services coordinator and all of our facilitators across the state!

This work is made possible by their hearts and your giving. Consider donating today through our new donor portal:

Faith communities are doing some of Tennessee's most essential work ...and almost none of it has ever been counted.

Until now.
