⚓ A Special Need at
The Harbor Home for Women⚓

We have a precious lady in our Harbor Home program who is deaf in one ear and has very limited hearing in the other. Several years ago, she had an implant removed and has been unable to replace it due to insurance complications.

Thankfully, it appears that insurance may eventually help with some of her hearing needs, but before any of that can happen, she must attend an initial appointment that requires $500 out of pocket.

As she works through recovery, hearing is so important. She faithfully attends church services, classes, counseling sessions, and group meetings, but often cannot hear what is being said. While we do use PowerPoint presentations in some classes, much of the teaching and encouragement she desperately needs is spoken.

Hearing is not only important for her recovery journey, but also for communication, safety, and daily life within the program.

Our goal right now is simple: raise $500 so she can attend her first appointment and begin the process of getting the help she needs.
