We are also excited to share our Hearts of Gold T-Shirt Fundraiser for Gold Star Mothers Weekend through Bonfire!

💛⭐The shirt features 22 teardrops, representing the 22 lives lost each day—a powerful reminder of why su***de awareness and prevention remain so important to our military and veteran communities.

We encourage our members, organizations and individuals to purchase a shirt, wear it proudly, and if you aren't able to join us in Washington, D.C., consider planning your own Gold Star Mothers Weekend activity in your local community.

A little bit of history about Gold Star Families.

Did you know American Gold Star Mothers was created in 1928 by Congress? The organization is almost 100 years old!

The U.S. government funded the Gold Star Mothers and Widows Pilgrimages program from 1930 to 1933.

The National Executive Board (NEB) of American Gold Star Mothers, Inc. is made up of dedicated Gold Star Mothers who lead with compassion, commitment, and a deep love for our mission.

Together, we find strength in the fellowship of one another as we honor the memories of our sons and daughters. Through that shared bond, we continue their legacy by serving our veterans, active-duty military, their families, and our communities.

From the very beginning of our organization, our National Presidents have devoted countless hours of their lives to carrying this mission forward. Their leadership is built on hope, healing, remembrance, and service—ensuring that no sacrifice is forgotten and that those who serve, and the families who stand beside them, are never alone.

For more than a century, this legacy of love and service has continued because of women who answer the call to serve others.

American Gold Star Mothers paid tribute to their sons in trip abroad in visit to graves of war heroes.

The five mothers lost their sons who were in active duty formed a sisterhood to ensure all soldiers are never forgotten.
