Meet Trooper!

He’s looking for a foster or adopter! Fosters get first dibs at adopting 💕🐾

Trooper is a one year old neutered male weighing in at about 50 pounds of pure happiness and fun. This handsome boy has been through a tough start after being abandoned and never reclaimed, but you’d never know it from his joyful spirit and loving personality.

Trooper is house trained, crate trained, and ready to settle right into his forever home. He’s an energetic young dog who loves walks, toys, and playtime, but he also has a sweet affectionate side that makes him a wonderful companion. He absolutely adores kids and even does well with cats, making him a great fit for many different families.

Trooper is the kind of dog who wakes up excited for every new day. Whether he’s carrying around his favorite toy, exploring the neighborhood on a walk, or soaking up attention from his people, he’s always ready to make you smile.

This happy, resilient boy is looking for a family that will give him the love and stability he deserves for the rest of his life. Could Trooper be your new best friend?

Meet Benji and Janie — two best friends who were found dumped in the woods together and are now ready for the fresh start they deserve. Benji is the tan, happy-go-lucky boy who looks like a cattle dog/lab mix, while Janie is the sleek black beauty who may have some Doberman in her family tree. At around 6 months old, these mutts are full of puppy energy, goofy personalities, and endless love to give.

These two are social butterflies who adore other dogs, do great with cats, and even ignore their foster’s chickens like seasoned farm pups. They haven’t officially met kids yet, but their foster believes they’d fit right in with a loving family. Their favorite things in life include running around outside, wrestling with dog friends, toys, treats, and anything food-related. The only thing they don’t love? Being alone. Both Benji and Janie will need another dog in their forever homes to help them feel secure and happy.

They’re smart puppies who are learning quickly, but house training and crate training are still works in progress. They used to share a crate together, and their foster is helping them build confidence being crated separately. They do not need to be adopted together, but each puppy must go to a home with another friendly dog.

Benji and Janie are up to date on vaccines, and their spay/neuter appointments are in their future. They’ll be ready to head home on 5/14 and are expected to adapt well to just about any loving home willing to continue their puppy training and shower them with affection.

We need your help now more than ever.

We are seeing an overwhelming number of stray, abandoned, and owner-surrendered local dogs, and while our foster families have stepped up in incredible ways and are giving their all—we are so incredibly thankful for them—they are full. We urgently need more safe places for these dogs to go.

When there’s no foster home, we have to say no. That means dogs are left out there with no safety net.

Fostering saves lives — it’s that simple.

We provide everything you need: food, supplies, and vet care. You provide a safe place to land and the love these dogs deserve. Every dog is evaluated before entering your home so we can set both you and the dog up for success.

Even opening your home short-term can make a life-saving difference.

Meet Domino — your future best friend with a personality as bold as his name.

At around 10 months old and 45 pounds, Domino is that perfect in-between stage: still very much a puppy, but big enough to keep up with all your adventures. We’re not totally sure what his breed mix is (maybe a little bully, maybe a splash of Dalmatian), but whatever he is, it works — he’s got the looks and the charm to match.

Domino is all about love. If you sit down, he’s already planning his route to your lap. Personal space? Not really his thing. He’s a certified face-kisser, a cuddle enthusiast, and your shadow around the house. He’s incredibly friendly with people and does great with other dogs — he just really, really wants to play, and sometimes that excitement comes out as playful nipping. Think “overenthusiastic bestie” energy.

Because he’s still young, Domino is very much a work in progress. He’s got puppy habits like chewing things he shouldn’t (he's still learning). Crate time isn’t his favorite. He tends to bark and whine, which could be from not being fully crate trained yet or just not loving being alone. He’ll need a home that’s ready to help him learn, grow, and build confidence. He is already neutered and up to date one vaccines.

Domino has tons of energy and a huge heart. He’d thrive with an active family who can give him structure, training, and plenty of playtime. He’d likely do best with older kids who can handle his in-your-face affection and playful style. Apartment life probably isn’t ideal for him — he’s got a voice and isn’t shy about using it, especially when he’s unsure.

If you’re looking for a dog who will love you loudly, play hard, and keep you laughing while he figures out the world, Domino might just be your guy.
