ATTENTION PARENTS:

There's a new sheriff in town. My name is Tj and im looking forward to moving forward with the league :)

The old "president" is not going to be associated with this league anymore.

This past year has been a headache for everyone involved. And I'm extremely sorry for everything that has happened.

First, let me say a few things
1. I AM NOT ASSOCIATED WITH THE PAST ADMINISTRATION...I can not fix the past. I can't offer refunds. All i can do is try and make it better. This year was a mess from the beginning, and I know parents are extremely upset. And i dont blame you! THESE KIDS DESERVE BETTER.

2. I am going to be starting from scratch. Board members, new name, new bank account, NEW EVERYTHING.
I have played in this league, I have coached in this league, and I have volunteered in this league for years.

Here is what I need to know from the parents...

⁉️IS THIS LEAGUE ABLE TO BE SAVED? ⁉️

I have a committee of about 12 people who are willing to help run the league and make it great for the kids. Like it should always be!

I spoke to the referees, and they said they would return as long as someone else was running the show. I just need to know if the parents are willing to give me a chance to rectify this.

If you dont want to comment on this post, message the page, I am going to be monitoring it as much as I can.

Attention, we have dealt with a major setback due to all the school closures but we are still going strong the schedule for the games has been finalized everything is being put together. All divisions have coaches except two teams for the 4th grade and 5th grade division. We are in need of two people to step up if possible games are going to be starting next week. Everyone will be receiving a schedule very soon once they are all printed. But please your coaches should be in contact with you to schedule practices and handle all upcoming events. Anybody interested in coaching 4th grade and 5th grade please reach out ASAP.

Due to a large number of school days missed this year, this is the most in many years. The season has been delayed slightly but we aren't the only organization. Other leagues in our area are dealing with the same issue but we will get through this and make the best of it. Teams have been picked coaches will be reaching out if they haven't already. Game schedule is being worked out tonight with the organization and everything will be finalized.
Tonight is practice for 4th to 5th grade
Thursday is practice for 6th grade to 8th grade so coaches can get their teams together. Just bear with us. If there's anyone that wants to help coach we need coaches for 4th to 5th grade and we can use help with a few other things please reach out to the league. Thank you

Important!! The school just contacted us and they want us to cancel all sport activities the school canceled all of their after-school games and everything the weather is very very bad I apologize but it's not in my control. Please be careful if anybody is out on the roads practice is canceled. The school just reached out to me and they wanted me to let everybody know that they do not want us to hold practice today due to the weather

Attention: I want to thank everybody for being understanding and patientthrough this new transition this year. There is a lot involved in as mentioned previously, it takes a group of volunteers to make this successful and I'm glad to say that everything is moving in the right direction. Nothing is perfect but without committed volunteers nothing is possible. The game schedule is currently being put together we have been in touch with the referee organization they are verifying game days and times with their schedule as well that information will be available to everyone very very soon! This week due to the weather there was no school Monday and Tuesday, so we did not have practice for those divisions. Tonight Wednesday January 21st, we have practice for 6th to 8th grade from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the connellsville area Middle School. The information for parents for upcoming practices games etc has been given to the coaches they will be reaching out to you all within the next day to inform about upcoming practices and everything. If anybody needs immediate assistance please reach out to 724-466-1777, while we put people in certain positions as of now we don't have anyone handling the social media 24/7 but that individual will be taking on the role within the next week. Thank you all and look forward to an amazing season we got a few events in store and like I said I can't stress it enough, if this isn't a finger pointing issue it's common sense this is a volunteer organization and for it to work successfully it takes committed volunteers to work together and to make everything possible for these youth children. Attention as you all are aware this organization is brand new this year and we were asking for volunteers and people are needed to make this successful we have had several people step up everything is still moving forward strong. Also when there is no school there is no practice or games we don't have gym access so everything for that day will be canceled. Everything is moving forward strong the season is beginning here shortly all the coaches have been selected players for teams and everything will be to all parents very soon!

In the beginning, we had several volunteers who shared my energy and commitment, but over time that support faded. I want everyone to know that my energy, ambition, and dedication to this league have never changed. We’ve overcome a lot of hurdles together, and we’re still standing strong — but it takes patience and understanding from everyone involved.

Building real structure takes commitment, sacrifice, and volunteers willing to step up. The good news is: we now have a new group of individuals stepping into roles and learning as they go. This is a fresh start for all of us, and with a little patience, this league will be stronger than ever.

We have many exciting events planned in the very near future. Let’s come together the way this organization was always meant to — as one united community.

We have something truly special here, something most communities don’t have: a 92-year legacy of St. Rita’s Basketball Association. Let’s honor it together and continue building it for our kids and for generations to come.

Hi everyone,

I want to take a moment to share something important with all of you.

This organization can only succeed when people step up to volunteer. I was not hired for this position, nor was it a job that was handed to me. When the league was on its last leg and close to collapsing, I made the decision to step forward—not for myself, but because this league, its history, and its mission mean so much to me.

Like any nonprofit, our success depends on all of us working together. I have been doing everything I possibly can from day one to move things forward, rebuild structure, and bring stability back to the league. I’m not saying this to complain—only to help everyone understand that this is not “my” organization. This league belongs to all of us.

This year, we’ve taken on more than ever before. We added a brand‑new division, Lil Ballerz, and for the first time in many years, we are bringing back the 9th–12th grade division. That means a lot of extra work on top of reorganizing a system that is entirely new.

All I ask is that we avoid spreading negativity or discouragement. If concerns come up, I’m always open to hearing them directly. But please remember: I’m doing this for the kids. For every child who wants to play basketball, learn, grow, and be part of something positive.

The great news is that everything is moving in the right direction. This past week, we finalized the last division, and all remaining information is being completed now. Everyone will be receiving updates very soon.

Thank you all for your patience, your understanding, and your support. Together, we can strengthen this league and keep its legacy alive for generations to come.

As many of you know, this season comes with a brand‑new administration and a fresh start for our league. That means we’re rebuilding everything from the ground up — and like any volunteer organization, it takes all of us working together to make it succeed.

We’ve faced some delays due to the holidays and school closures, but we are still on schedule. This year, for the first time in many years, we’re proud to bring back a 9th–12th grade division!

A huge thank‑you to the volunteers who stepped up this past week. We now have enough coaches to move forward, and teams and practice schedules will be sent out within the next 1–2 days.

Please remember: this league survives because of community, patience, and teamwork — not criticism. If you ever have questions or concerns, the league phone number is on every form and platform. Reach out directly; we’re here to listen and improve.
