🏀 ST. RITA’S BASKETBALL — 2026 SEASON UPDATE 🏀

First and foremost, I want to sincerely apologize to all of our players, families, and supporters that we will not be having a St. Rita’s basketball season in 2026.

After everything that took place last year, along with some conflicting work and personal commitments, it has become clear that putting together the season we expect and that our players deserve simply isn’t going to be feasible this year.

This was not an easy decision, and it certainly wasn’t one that was made lightly. St. Rita’s basketball means a lot to us, and we are truly grateful for everyone who has supported the program, trusted us with their kids, and helped make past seasons special.

Sometimes the best decision is to take a step back, regroup, and come back stronger.

With that being said, 2026 is only a pause — not the end. 💪🏀

We are already looking forward to 2027 and making it our BEST SEASON YET!

Thank you for your understanding, your support, and most importantly, for continuing to believe in St. Rita’s basketball.

See you in 2027! 🏀🔥

Please keep one of our sponsors, their employees and families in your prayers as there was a fire at Fox's Tavern last night. 🙏🙏

When you can read this, lmk your thoughts

ATTENTION PARENTS:

There's a new sheriff in town. My name is Tj and im looking forward to moving forward with the league :)

The old "president" is not going to be associated with this league anymore.

This past year has been a headache for everyone involved. And I'm extremely sorry for everything that has happened.

First, let me say a few things
1. I AM NOT ASSOCIATED WITH THE PAST ADMINISTRATION...I can not fix the past. I can't offer refunds. All i can do is try and make it better. This year was a mess from the beginning, and I know parents are extremely upset. And i dont blame you! THESE KIDS DESERVE BETTER.

2. I am going to be starting from scratch. Board members, new name, new bank account, NEW EVERYTHING.
I have played in this league, I have coached in this league, and I have volunteered in this league for years.

Here is what I need to know from the parents...

⁉️IS THIS LEAGUE ABLE TO BE SAVED? ⁉️

I have a committee of about 12 people who are willing to help run the league and make it great for the kids. Like it should always be!

I spoke to the referees, and they said they would return as long as someone else was running the show. I just need to know if the parents are willing to give me a chance to rectify this.

If you dont want to comment on this post, message the page, I am going to be monitoring it as much as I can.

Please feel free to reach out, leave a comment, or message me. I will do my best to respond in a timely manner.

Attention, we have dealt with a major setback due to all the school closures but we are still going strong the schedule for the games has been finalized everything is being put together. All divisions have coaches except two teams for the 4th grade and 5th grade division. We are in need of two people to step up if possible games are going to be starting next week. Everyone will be receiving a schedule very soon once they are all printed. But please your coaches should be in contact with you to schedule practices and handle all upcoming events. Anybody interested in coaching 4th grade and 5th grade please reach out ASAP.

Due to a large number of school days missed this year, this is the most in many years. The season has been delayed slightly but we aren't the only organization. Other leagues in our area are dealing with the same issue but we will get through this and make the best of it. Teams have been picked coaches will be reaching out if they haven't already. Game schedule is being worked out tonight with the organization and everything will be finalized.
Tonight is practice for 4th to 5th grade
Thursday is practice for 6th grade to 8th grade so coaches can get their teams together. Just bear with us. If there's anyone that wants to help coach we need coaches for 4th to 5th grade and we can use help with a few other things please reach out to the league. Thank you
