Celebrate with us!

We recently had a survivor transition out of our program into independent living.

She has a job and an apartment of her own.

We are wishing her a bright and beautiful future. 💛

Did you know? There are apps designed to hide private photos, videos, or messages behind innocent looking icons like calculators, or news apps.

Do you know all the apps your child is using?

Knowledge is power and knowing exactly what apps are on their devices is important in keeping your family safe.

We are seeing a dangerous phenomenon where predators are using seemingly innocent gaming chats to lure children and teens into private servers.

Not even games are safe. Encourage kids to tell a parent or trusted adult if something feels off.

House Bill 301 continues to advance in the NC Senate. The bill also includes AI education and teacher training initiatives to help students safely navigate emerging technologies and prepare for the future workforce.

Not every ‘friend’ online is who they say they are.

Today, fake profiles can look incredibly real—complete with photos, posts, and mutual ‘friends.’ Some are even powered by AI.

But behind the screen, the person may be completely different.

Teach kids to pause, question, and never assume someone is who they claim to be.

Sextortion is a serious crime where offenders blackmail victims—often teens and children—by threatening to expose explicit photos or videos unless they provide money, gift cards, or more sexual content.

What starts as a conversation can quickly turn into pressure, screenshots, and threats, and many kids don’t speak up because they feel ashamed or afraid.

They need to know: they won’t be in trouble, and they won’t face it alone.

Grooming often doesn’t look dangerous at first—it looks like attention, kindness, and someone who ‘gets’ them. Over time, trust is built, boundaries are lowered, and manipulation begins.

It doesn’t start with harm. It starts with connection, and it only takes 8 minutes for a child to form a lasting bond with an online predator.
