Red Bell Run Home to The Sanctuary at Red Bell Run, a Special Needs Equine Sanctuary. They come here in need. We fulfill as many of those needs as we can.

The Sanctuary at Red Bell Run is home to special needs equines, those with medical or behavioral issues that make them unadoptable. Many times our residents are able to have a good quality of life with managed care; care that other organizations may not be able to provide due to staffing or financial restrictions. We strive to give each horse, mule, or donkey we care for the things that they lacked before coming to Red Bell Run. We do a lot of things here but at the Sanctuary, the most important thing we do is simply love them. OUR MISSION:
To rescue abused, neglected or at risk equines and other animals, offering rehabilitation and permanent placement including lifelong sanctuary. Foster the animal-human bond through empathy building, community assistance, educational and therapeutic programs.

Just a little Lady and the Tramp moment… sanctuary style!

Poncho and Lilli traded the spaghetti for a shared tree stump. Nothing says romance quite like a dinner date with extra bark.💕

📣 EVENT UPDATE: BOO & BRAY IS MOVING TO NOVEMBER 1ST!

Due to Hurricane Isaias and the rough winds expected, the Boo & Bray Fun Run and Vendor Market at Red Bell Run has been rescheduled to Sunday, November 1st.

👟 Race start: 2:30 PM (Check in begins at 1pm)
🛍️Vendor registration is now open through October 26th! If you missed the original deadline, here’s your chance to join the fun! We’d love to welcome more local makers, artists, and businesses to our vendor market. Come share what you do with our community and be part of a festive afternoon at the sanctuary!

Same place, same donkeys, same spooky fun—with a little extra time to work on your costume! Plus, a race after Halloween gives you the perfect excuse to collect a few extra “parent tax” Reese’s cups from those trick-or-treat bags. We call that race fuel. 😉

Link in the comments for race signups!

Thank you to our sponsors, runners, vendors, and volunteers for your flexibility and support. We can’t wait to see everyone on November 1st! ❤️

Hmmm… a large gray donkey inserting himself into morning chores and causing a ruckus. Whoever could it be? 🤔

April is getting her warm-up laps in for Boo & Bray! 🏃‍♀️🫏

Her pasture has a front-row seat to the race course, so she’s making sure she’s ready to cheer everyone on—or maybe show the runners how it’s done. 😂
