📣 2027 ELCA World Hunger Domestic Hunger Grants Letters of Inquiry submissions open until July 1, 2026 (1 week + 1 day left to submit)!

Following a review process, some applicants will be invited to submit a full application in the second phase, which begins in October 2026.

Grant recipients will be contacted in January 2027.

Co:Lab is the Southern Ohio Synod’s program to revitalize congregations by equipping leaders and their communities of faith to build relationships, deepen faith, grow community, and identify and respond to God’s call for their congregation.

Co:Lab is a journey of discovery and holy experimentation. Through six monthly meetings the Southern Ohio Synod Co:Lab Team will help congregational leaders find new ways to join God’s mission in your community.

This morning, Bp. Dillahunt joined Resurrection (Lebanon) for worship and to preach. She reminded them that discipleship is never done alone because God is always present with us, even when it feels like things are hard or unclear.

O God, our Leader. You have given each of us gifts for service and ministry, all different from one another and working together as the body of Christ. Accompany all who are participating in the Leadership Academy this year, that they grow in their relationship with you and in their gifts for leadership within your church. Amen.

Yesterday evening, Bp. Dillahunt joined the Ohio Episcopal Area of The United Methodist Church (East Ohio + West Ohio Conferences) for their Ordination Service. Thank you, Bp. Jung, for the invitation!

Bp. Hopkins (retired) and Bp. Estrella (Manila Episcopal Area - Philippines) also joined for the worship service, where they celebrated the 70th anniversary of the ordination of women.

Join us in praying for all who were ordained, commissioned, and licensed during this service AND for all who are entering retirement. Well done, siblings in faith!

Join us in praying for the South Carolina Synod, as they gather on June 11-12 for their Synod Assembly & prepare for their bishop election.

Almighty God, you have given your Holy Spirit to the church to lead us into all truth. Bless with the Spirit's grace and presence the people of the South Carolina Synod as they prepare to elect a bishop. Keep them steadfast in faith and united in love, that they may manifest your glory and prepare for the way of your kingdom; through Jesus Christ, our Savior and Lord. Amen.
