๐Ÿ‚๐Ÿ’š Weโ€™re kicking off October with a little connection, relaxation, learning, and fun!

Our NCCC team came together for an all-staff day focused on something we value just as much as the work we do: our people. We started the morning with a delicious breakfast, plenty of team bonding, and some friendly NCCC trivia that put everyoneโ€™s knowledge to the test! ๐Ÿง ๐ŸŽ‰

And because taking care of others starts with taking care of ourselves, our staff had the chance to fully relax and recharge with massages. A huge thank-you to our amazing massage therapists for helping our team unwind! ๐Ÿ’†โ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿ’†โ€โ™‚๏ธ

We were also grateful to learn valuable information from Dr. Horenstein with DigestWell Health, gaining new insight into caring for our health and well-being from the inside out.

At NCCC, we believe our employees deserve to be cared for, too. ๐Ÿ’š Our minds, bodies, and overall well-being matterโ€”and weโ€™re proud to create opportunities for our team to connect, recharge, and grow together.

Hereโ€™s to starting October feeling refreshed, supported, and ready for another month of changing lives! ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ’š

One year ago today, the NCCC family lost one of our biggest supporters, our greatest cheerleaders, and a very special part of our NCCC family โ€” Leava Pickard. ๐Ÿ’™

Leava was our CEOโ€™s mom, but her love for NCCC and the people we serve made her feel like family to so many of us. She believed deeply in helping others, showing up for people, lending a hand, and making someoneโ€™s day a little brighter.

Although we miss her more than words can say, we know that the best way to honor Leava is to keep doing what she did so naturally โ€” helping others.

Today, on the first anniversary of her passing, we invite our NCCC family, friends, and community to join us in Leavaโ€™s Legacy Acts of Kindness Day.

๐Ÿ’™ Do one intentional act of kindness in Leavaโ€™s memory.
๐Ÿ’™ Then tell us about it. Share a photo, a story, or simply leave a comment telling us how you carried Leavaโ€™s legacy forward today.

It doesnโ€™t have to be big. It just has to come from the heart.

Letโ€™s fill this day with kindness in Leavaโ€™s honor and remind each other that one small act can have a much bigger impact than we may ever know.

Leava may no longer be here to cheer us on, but we can continue to carry her kindness forward.

Today, we remember her.
Today, we celebrate her life.
Today, we choose kindness because of her. ๐Ÿ’™

Live like Leava. Love like Leava. Help like Leava.

We received photos from last weekโ€™s ADAMH Annual Meeting and couldnโ€™t wait to share them with our community! ๐Ÿ’š

With September recognized as Su***de Prevention Month, this yearโ€™s meeting was an especially meaningful opportunity to come together for an important conversation about su***de prevention and the role each of us can play in strengthening prevention efforts across our community.

Our NCCC team was proud to join the ADAMH Board of Franklin County for the 2026 ADAMH Annual Meeting. Weโ€™re grateful to the speakers, panelists, community partners and advocates who shared their knowledge, experiences and perspectives, helping foster thoughtful conversations around connection, collaboration and the well-being of Franklin County.

We were also honored to celebrate this yearโ€™s ADAMH award and scholarship recipients, including our own Hayden Moreau! Weโ€™re proud to see our team members recognized for their contributions to behavioral health and our community. ๐Ÿ’š

Thank you to ADAMH for bringing our community together and continuing to elevate the importance of su***de prevention, connection and collaboration.

This weekend, NCCC was proud to join SARNCO for their 2nd Annual Community Health Resource Fair! ๐Ÿ’š

We had a great time connecting with community members, fellow organizations, and local partners while sharing resources and learning more about the incredible work happening across Central Ohio.

Events like this remind us that creating a healthier, safer, and more connected community takes all of us showing up and working together. Weโ€™re grateful to SARNCO for bringing so many community partners together and giving us the opportunity to be part of it!
