🌟 Be part of something new with OCDA!

The Ohio Choral Directors Association is excited to invite high school choral programs across the state to join the 2026–2027 OCDA High School Commission Consortium, featuring an original SATB work by The Podd Brothers!

Find more information here! https://forms.gle/GpfNuE45EcVrXD4V6

Participating choirs will have the opportunity to be part of the commissioning process and individually premiere the new work during the 2026–2027 school year. The piece will explore themes of wonder, light, and our connection to something greater.

And who better to tell you about it than the composers themselves? đŸŽ¶ Check out this special invitation from The Podd Brothers!

đŸ’« OCDA Members: $200
đŸ’« Non-Members: $350 (includes a one-year OCDA membership)
📅 Deadline to join: January 15

We hope you’ll join us in bringing a brand-new piece of choral music to life!

And that’s a wrap! đŸŽ¶â˜€ïž Thank you to all of our OCDA members who attended, participated in, or volunteered for OCDA Summer Conference 2026. We couldn’t have done it without you, but especially not without Brandon Moss, our Summer Conference Coordinator, for organizing and hosting our event. I hope everyone left conference feeling inspired, connected, and motivated.

This year’s conference featured interest sessions from Amanda Quist .quist, Anthony Trecek-King , Jeremy Davis, Robert J. Ward, Katie Silcott , Kelly Winner, John McClain , and Adam Albright.

It also featured performances from the OCDA Middle School Honor Choir, OCDA High School Choir Choir, Sylvania Northview Chorus, Columbus Children’s Choir New World Singers, Upper Arlington High School Vocal Ensemble, Cincinnati Women’s Chorus, and Miami University Chamber Singers.

Finally, thank you to Mike Perry, for volunteering his time taking photos for us! 📾

The 2026 OCDA High School Honor Choir brought together talented singers from across Ohio for a day filled with learning, collaboration, fun, and an outstanding performance. Thank you to Dr. Swope for his energetic and powerful leadership as the guest conductor, students, directors, and section leaders, who made this event such a success!
