📢 CLEAR FORK CRIME WATCH JUNE MEETING UPDATE 📢

Thank you to everyone who attended our June community meeting and continues to support the work happening throughout Clear Fork!

Here are a few highlights:

🏡 Bridge House Update
• Sheetrock is up
• Mudding and painting will begin soon
• Bathroom completion is underway
• We are getting closer to opening!

🌽 Community Corn Maze
Our corn maze is growing, but we could use some help! We are currently accepting fertilizer donations. Needed:
✅ 12-12-12 Fertilizer
✅ Nitrogen
✅ Potassium

🍎 Food Assistance Programs
• Grandview Christian Church has now served 139 people through 82 food bags to those in need in our community.
• Ewing Creek Church will have its next food box distribution on June 19th. Attendance has been low, so please help spread the word to families who may benefit.

❤️ Recovery Fund
Recently, the CFCW Recovery Fund helped support an individual from our community transitioning from prison to rehab and then into a halfway house. Thank you to Raleigh County Comissioners for helping us make a difference.

🎬 Summer Family Movie Nights
Join us for family movie nights throughout June! Bring your chairs, blankets, and enjoy a free evening with friends and neighbors. Dinner starts at 7 and the movie starts around 9.

🌳 Sycamore Creek Watershed Update
We discussed the ongoing concerns regarding community access to the Sycamore Creek Watershed. Community letters have been drafted and are being sent to Rowland Land Company.

If you would like to send a letter expressing your support for continued community access, we still have copies available. Please send us a private message and we will get one to you.

🤝 Volunteers Needed
• Movie night setup and cleanup
• Event sign letters
• Ball field mowing and w**d eating
• Community crime watch efforts

📢 COMMUNITY UPDATE: SYCAMORE CREEK WATERSHED ACCESS

This post is for residents of Clear Fork Valley and anyone who has a history of enjoying recreational access to the Sycamore Creek Watershed.

Recently, concerns have been raised by community members regarding reports that a private lease had been obtained which would restrict access to a limited number of members, potentially resulting in gates being installed and trespassing charges being pursued against others.

After speaking directly with upper management at Rowland Land Company, the following information was shared:

✅ There is currently NO lease agreement in place.
✅ The agreement being discussed is a hunting license agreement.
✅ Rowland Land Company has not imposed a membership limit.
✅ Rowland Land Company has not yet signed off on the agreement.

If you have used the Sycamore Creek Watershed for hunting, fishing, hiking, ATV riding, camping, or other recreational activities and would like to see continued community access, now is the time to make your voice heard.

Rowland Land Company has a long history of being a good neighbor to our community. If you choose to reach out, please do so respectfully and professionally. Community feedback can make a difference.
