Madera County CattleWomen had a great day at the Heritage Day which took place at the Coarsegold Rodeo Grounds 🤠🐂 We loved talking all things ranching and beef from brands to tack and equipment, plus sharing children’s books and trick roping. The kids had such a great time learning and getting hands-on with western traditions! 🌾💛

Happy Earth Day from Madera County Cattlewomen! 🌎🐄💚
Cattle play an important role in keeping our earth healthy. Through managed grazing, cattle help maintain healthy grasslands, improve soil health, and support wildlife habitats. They are also a natural part of the carbon cycle—plants capture carbon from the air, cattle graze those plants, and nutrients are returned to the soil to help new plants grow.

We are proud to support ranching families who work every day to care for the land, their animals, and the future of agriculture. Healthy cattle, healthy land, healthy planet.

It was a great day to work with fellow cattlewomen at 2026 Ag Day at the Capitol promoting beef and sharing the story of California agriculture! 🥩🐂🌽

MCCW President Suzy and MCCW member Tammy joined with the California CattleWomen on behalf of the Madera County Cattlewomen to educate legislators, staff, and visitors about the importance of California ranching.

Over 300 lbs of beef helped power the day in the form of delicious tri-tip sliders from Buckhorn BBQ + Grill, bringing visitors to the booth and creating opportunities to share conversations about ranch sustainability, water stewardship, wildfire resilience, animal care, and the generational dedication of California cattle families.

Events like Ag Day provide an important opportunity to connect with others, build relationships, and share how beef producers work every day to provide safe, nutritious food while caring for the land and livestock. The dedication of our cattlewomen continues to make a lasting impact through education, outreach, and advocacy for the beef industry. ❤️🥩

Happy 74th year to Madera County Cattlewomen! 🎉

Yesterday’s meeting was beautifully hosted by Perca, Jenny, and Sue, with lovely decorations. We were especially excited to welcome our guest speaker, Andrew Standen, who shared about his bred heifer project.

We love seeing young people get involved and share their agricultural experiences it's what keeps our industry strong for generations to come! 🐄🌾

Another year, another incredible Chuckwagon Luncheon in the books! 🎉 This event continues to be so special not just because of the tradition, but because of the people who show up and make it happen year after year.

Huge thank you to all of our Madera County Cattlewomen members for the time, effort, and heart that goes into putting on this event. A special shoutout to Geoff and Tammy Tipton and cooking crew for another amazing meal, Tim Sisil for bringing the energy as our auctioneer, and Shellie Kuhr and Sheila Romeri for all their hard work running our silent and live auctions. And of course to all tbose who helped make this event possible, so much happens behind the scenes, and it truly shows.

It was a room full of incredible people, great food, and a shared purpose—supporting scholarships and beef promotion. That’s what keeps this event strong year after year.

Thank you to everyone who attended, donated, and continues to support. This community is something special. 🐂💛

🤩 2026 Madera County Cattlewomen Scholarship is OPEN!! 🤩

We are thrilled to announce that this year we have the opportunity to distribute 💥 8 (EIGHT) scholarships 💥 to qualifying applicants!

➡️ This scholarship is open to any graduating senior who resides in Madera County and is pursuing a degree in agriculture! ⬅️

📅 Applications are due April 1st, 2026.

All Madera County high schools have been provided a copy of the application, and you can also download the application from our website. Refer to the information below for eligibility criteria and more. 🙂
