Coal County Public Library Branch of the Southeastern Public Library System of Oklahoma The library serves a population of 5,780 as the only full service library in Coal County.

We serve as a part of the Southeastern Public Library System of Oklahoma, a seven county public library system established in 1967. The library offers many services to the public in addition to books and other materials in print. Our services offered are interlibrary loan, reference department, children's programs, teen programs, book reserve, shut-in service, library tours, copy machine, fax, int

💔📚 Coal County Public Library Remembers Dolly Parton 📚💔

Today, we join people around the world in mourning the loss of a true American treasure, Dolly Parton.

Dolly was so much more than a legendary singer, songwriter, actress, and entertainer. She was a champion for children, literacy, education, kindness, and the simple joy of a good book. Through her Imagination Library, she helped put millions of books into the hands of children and inspired generations to discover the magic of reading. 📖❤️

As a library, we are especially grateful for the incredible legacy she leaves behind. Her belief that every child deserves the opportunity to learn, dream, and imagine is something we will continue to cherish.

Her music touched generations, her generosity changed lives, and her bright spirit brought joy to countless people.

🌟 Thank you, Dolly, for reminding us that a little kindness can make a big difference and that every child deserves a story.

Our thoughts and heartfelt condolences go out to Dolly’s family, friends, and the millions of people who loved her.
