No, it's not a lotto number ya silly.

That's the dollar number of the capital improvements we have put into the 456 since we started last October. We're still committed to another 13k.

Roof, floors, sub floors, toilets, paint, electrical, A/C, windows. The list goes on.

It takes a lot to be an active Grange Hall. Dues, a 9 member board, lots of rules, tons of paper work, more rules. And of course, rules. Also, rules. Meetings! Oh lordy are there ever meetings. And rules

I don't like rumor mills, but I do love transparency. So, I'm being transparent.

It took a lot of your friends and neighbors to bring the 456 into compliance as an active Grange. We did it!

There's some sad rumors running around town. So when they start, I stop them. I don't get spicy. I get real.

We, your community, are doing a lot of volunteer work to make this happen.

I love this crazy little town.

Did you go to the 4th of July parade? I did and oh my gosh it was wonderful. I sat on the curb next to a Veteran and his wife. When LaRiva Miles sang the National Anthem, the gentleman dropped a few tears. I was so touched and clearly, so was he.

The splash zone. Lordy did I ever laugh! When CPD rolled up, the kids got so excited to sq**rt them. When the cops flew out of the rig with water guns a blazin', the squeals were heard in Hopland. Trust me, don't fact check me.

The music was bomb! The burgers and dogs! Bomb! The whole event was truly amazing and patriotic. Kids playing. Parents chilling.

I got a lot of hugs and a lot of folks figured out who I am. I was told by many that the community appreciates my posts here.

I appreciate my community.

And so it goes.

Happy 4th of July my friends.
