It's National CNA Week!

Our CNAs are the heart of our community, bringing compassion and support to residents each and every day. 💙 Their dedication, kindness, and genuine care make all the difference in the lives of those we serve. This National CNA Week, we celebrate and thank them for the incredible work they do! 🤩🙏

We were honored to be a part of the largest Parkinson’s conference in the country, with over 700 attendees! Walnut Ridge proudly participated by sharing information about the supportive services we offer individuals navigating Parkinson’s, including our Parkinson’s water aerobics class held in our warm water pool, and designed to support mobility, strength, and comfort in a gentle, encouraging environment. We also offer physical, speech, and occupational therapy services to support the whole person every step of the way.

It was a wonderful opportunity to connect, learn, and continue our commitment to enhancing quality of life in our community. 💙

At Walnut Ridge, we like to say that Ken is our most senior senior - and we mean that in the very best way! After 17 years, he holds the title of our longest resident, making him a true “veteran” of our community.

But Ken’s story goes far beyond these walls. He is also a veteran in every sense of the word, having served 22 years as an Air Force chaplain, including time in combat during the Vietnam War. His life has been one of service and faith.

We are honored to know Ken, our “veteran” veteran, whose kindness and humor 😂 enriches our community every day.

Thank you, Ken, for your years of service…both to our country and to all of us here at Walnut Ridge. 💙
