Friends, the Clifton Lions Club of Virginia, is supporting Wreaths Across America (WAA) as a service project and for visibility of the National Cemetery at Quantico. Many large National Cemeteries receive a lot of wreaths in December, however, smaller National Cemeteries don't receive enough to place on all of the gravesites. The Clifton Lions Club hopes to help increase the visibility of this fantastic program.
Wreaths Across America covers numerous locations beyond the National Cemeteries. While our club's sponsored site is Quantico, there are other, non-national cemeteries that are part of WAA. These are not military or veteran specific cemeteries, but a local group has stepped up as coordinators for the site, so that location is included as part of Wreaths Across America.

On the site, click on red “Sponsor Wreaths”, select the number of wreaths ($17 each), on the next screen click on Continue (that selects our club as the sponsorship group). On the next screen, either select Continue if you want to sponsor wreaths at Quantico, or if you want to sponsor a wreath for a specific loved one at a cemetery other than Quantico, click on Search All locations. If you know the name of the cemetery, type that in; if not, but you know the city location then put that in on the map and search, then click on the wreath symbols to find the correct location. If you do find the cemetery you are looking for, then go to customization, and select a choice; picking grave specific will allow you to also volunteer to place the wreath yourself. You will need to put in the name, etc; it can be a veteran or the spouse or child of a veteran (use the drop down). If you want to volunteer, go back to the first page and click on volunteer, put in the location (our site defaults to Quantico), and proceed from there.
