🚨 Caution: photo dump ahead! 🚨

✈️ The May Connect After-Hours sure was a good one! Our host, Cleveland Regional Jetport Tennessee, rolled out the red carpet and treated us to delicious food, compliments of Impressions Catering and Events who also celebrated their 25th anniversary, tours of the beautiful facility, and a display of some of their finest aircrafts.

The Jetport is open for the community to visit, tour, and relax while watching airplanes come and go. They also offer conference space for off-site meetings, complete with a catering kitchen.

Join us each month at one of our two networking events to grow your business and expand your network! When it comes to networking, the sky's the limit! 😏 (We had to go there.)

Our Tourism Department was honored, once again, to welcome bike riders from Remember The Removal. πŸš΄β€β™€οΈ

This annual event commemorates the forced removal of Cherokee people that occurred between 1838-1839. Spanning seven states and 950 miles, riders bike the northern route of the Trail of Tears, stopping at historical sites where the Cherokees traveled during removal.

Did you know that Charleston use to serve as a gateway to the Cherokee Nation? What once was a thriving Cherokee community became Fort Cass, the military operational headquarters for the entire Cherokee removal. Often known as ground zero for the removal, Charleston is an important stop for riders to visit.

Every year, the Hiwassee River Heritage Center hosts the cyclists for lunch where Chamber Vice President of Tourism, Melissa Woody, is always given the opportunity to share about Charleston's deep connection to the Cherokee.

While cyclists are greeted with cheers of encouragement and laughter is shared between community members and riders, the meaning behind this journey is never forgotten.
